On November 8, 2022, TÜV SÜD awarded xFusion with the world's first partial Power Usage Effectiveness (pPUE) energy efficiency certification for its liquid-cooled rack-scale servers (hereinafter referred to as "liquid-cooled servers"). This certification not only demonstrates the excellent performance of this product in data center cooling efficiency, but also highlights that xFusion's commercially deployed liquid-cooled servers have achieved leading levels of energy efficiency in the industry.
TÜV SÜD, with a history of 156 years, is a third-party testing institution dedicated to providing secure, reliable, and sustainable solutions. By offering professional testing and certification services, TÜV SÜD safeguards quality products. Based on internationally recognized standard, TÜV SÜD conducted scientific PUE assessments and rigorous application scenario tests over nearly a year to determine that the actual full-chain cooling PUE of the xFusion’s liquid-cooled servers deployed is 1.06. On the day of the event, Chen Haoxuan, Senior Vice President of Consumer Product Services at TÜV SÜD Greater China, Zhong Yuheng, Senior Manager of the Electronics and Electrical Department at TÜV SÜD South China and members of the project team, and Wang Dalin, R&D Director of Smart Data Center at xFusion, and other key personnel in the field attended the certification ceremony.
Chen Haoxuan congratulated xFusion, saying, "Congratulations on xFusion's innovation and application of liquid-cooled server energy efficiency technologies. By combining the specific characteristics of liquid-cooled cabinet servers in data center applications within the framework of internationally recognized standards, TÜV SÜD scientifically and objectively evaluated the actual cooling PUE of servers and formed specific PUE evaluation criteria for such server products. I hope that both parties can continue to jointly promote green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of the data center industry."
As a leading computing infrastructure and service provider in the world, xFusion makes continuous endeavors in making servers greener and more efficient. xFusion will further invest in energy-efficient technologies such as server liquid cooling, continue to innovate, and provide liquid cooling solutions that can be deployed on a large scale to deliver low-carbon and green computing services for all industries. The certified xFusion liquid-cooled rack-scale servers achieve 100% liquid-cooling heat dissipation. With outstanding PUE performance, the servers boast high density, high reliability, and easy maintenance, making it suitable for various power distribution modes in data centers. TÜV SÜD has established an evaluation method for the actual PUE level of computing equipment in large-scale deployment applications based on internationally recognized standards such as EN50600-4-2, while considering PUE assessment methods under different standards like ETSI TS 103 586.
Focusing on computing infrastructure and services, xFusion will continue to engage in technical exchanges and cooperation with authoritative organizations such as TÜV SÜD on energy efficiency evaluation standards and testing and verification methods, and continuously improve the overall energy efficiency of computing infrastructure deployed extensively in data centers. We will work together to improve the energy efficiency in data centers to achieve the national dual-carbon goal and future-oriented green computing.
