On December 15th, xFusion had the honor of being invited to the launch event of Intel's 5th Generation Xeon® Scalable processors. The event, themed "Bring AI Everywhere", showcased the next generation of Intel's Xeon® Scalable processors. xFusion's FusionServer V7 series has been confirmed to be fully compatible with these latest 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors.
The computing landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation, fueled by innovations like ChatGPT. The explosive growth of large model training and early landing of key AI applications signal that the era of AI computing is accelerating, with some forecasts bringing expected adoption timelines ahead by five years.
The 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors have been meticulously engineered to boost performance across rapidly advancing industry workloads. These processors feature an integrated AI accelerator, empowering each core with the ability to expedite AI tasks, thus negating the necessity for external accelerators. They are adept at managing intensive AI operations, including the inference and refinement of massive models that encompass up to 20 billion parameters. This capability significantly benefits AI, network, storage edge, and scientific computing applications by enhancing performance.
Moreover, the integration of these accelerators ensures not only a more consistent and dependable performance but also promotes greater energy efficiency. Consequently, organizations are better positioned to achieve their environmental sustainability goals, aligning technological advancement with ecological responsibility.
Equipped with the latest 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, xFusion's FusionServer V7 series of intelligent servers are at the forefront of delivering unmatched performance, energy efficiency, and robust security. This series has seen significant enhancements across various product lines including AI, high-performance computing (HPC), liquid cooling technologies, and broadly utilized general-purpose computing.
These upgrades are engineered to offer users the pinnacle of performance experiences. FusionOS, in particular, has been extensively fine-tuned to work seamlessly with the FusionServer V7 series, offering efficient and scenario-specific computing solutions.
In addition, the FusionOne hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) leverages the built-in Quick Assist Technology (QAT) to facilitate the rapid live migration of virtual machines (VMs), drastically reducing migration times and elevating system management effectiveness. This enhancement ensures that customers have access to dependable, last-mile computing services, catering to their most critical business needs.
"Intel is accelerating digital and intelligent transformation across industries with Xeon-driven innovations in computing, storage, networking, software and platforms," said Liu Quanzhong, VP of xFusion Product Line. "Moving forward, xFusion will strengthen collaboration with Intel to provide leading computing infrastructure for enterprises, promote green, low-carbon data centers, and advance the digital economy."
